Lionel Messi: 12 Assists for Benzema at Al Ittihad
Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema have been in excellent form this season, with both players contributing significantly to their team's success. However, on Wednesday night, the Frenchman scored two goals as his side beat Al Ittihad 4-1, and it was his assist that really caught the eye.
Benzema's goal came just before halftime, as he played a brilliant one-two with Lionel Messi, who then crossed the ball into the box. The ball found its way through to Benzema, who slotted home the finish to give his team a 2-0 lead at the break.

This time, however, it was Kylian Mbappe who made use of the opportunity, nodding the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0.
Despite being behind, Al Ittihad fought back valiantly and pulled a goal back through Hicham Bakkali in the 79th minute, but it was too little, too late as Benzema completed his hat-trick with a stunning solo effort.
Benzema has been in sensational form this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions so far. His assist against Al Ittihad was just another example of why he is considered one of the best players in the world. With his impressive performances, Benzema will continue to be a key player for Real Madrid and France in the coming seasons.
